Zach Besel Construction is one of five new builders in this year’s Parade of Homes, but he is no stranger to the world of homebuilding. Welcome, Zach!

This home is a pre‑sold and much of the character and flavor represent the homeowner’s personal style and taste. The general direction is Farmhouse style. It is an inviting design with clean lines and great curb appeal.

The exterior is a white board and batten over black corrugated metal. It is a striking study in contrast.

The great room has a corner‑set fireplace with stone hearth and surround with a wood mantle, set into a wall of hand‑scraped barn wood. It will provide a warm and cozy feel year‑round. The flooring is a dark laminate, both handsome and durable. The kitchen cabinets are two‑tone providing a little eye candy for the space. The upper cabinets are white shaker style, over a warm wood for the bottom cabinets. The toe‑kick lighting is controlled by motion sensor. The island features a granite top and has seating for four.

The primary suite is behind the kitchen. It has substantial black double doors opening to a stone patio at the back of the home. The bath suite has wonderful tile work. The substantial 24" × 48" ceramic tiles have the look and feel of marble. The backsplash around the bathtub is a great textured tile imported from Italy.

There is a second bedroom on the main level as well as a full bath and mudroom/laundry room with access to the garage.

The second level has a bedroom with a great view, a full bath and a very generous bonus room. The angle‑set fireplace is repeated in the bonus room. It has the stone surround, wood mantle and hand‑scraped barnwood wall.

Builder Bio — Zach Besel Construction LLC

Hi, I'm Zach Besel, owner and operator of Zach Besel Construction LLC. Growing up I took an early liking to construction. This led me to starting my company in 2013. As a born and raised Billings MT native local builder, my priority has always been to keep top quality work.

I started out early in middle school during summers working in construction. I continued during my high school years, and into the Billings Career Center home building program for 2 years, building houses from the ground up, start to finish. After that I worked for a few other contractors for 5 years and then decided to go on my own.

Now 12 years later, I specialize in being a hands‑on custom home builder and general contractor, serving the Billings and surrounding areas in Montana.

My years of experience have led me to building high‑end homes; from starter homes, to homes in the tens of millions and everything in‑between. Outside of building homes I enjoy riding dirt bikes and street bikes, whether in the mountains or nice winding roads, or participating as a member in the Billings motorcycle club. I also enjoy spending time with family and friends, my wonderful wife, and dog Luna (who copilots my passenger seat every day with a snout out the window and a wagging tail).

I love the outdoors hiking, walking and just being outside and am very grateful for the path God has paved for my career in allowing me to do what I love, building and bringing clients’ homes to life! The key thing I feel that folks will enjoy working with us is communication. This is a very important part of any kind of project for a successful build throughout the process start to finish.

Another is having a hands‑on general contractor that has not only been in the development/paperwork side as a general contractor but also has the knowledge and expertise to know exactly what's going on in the field and be in the field on your build.
