Building Futures for 50 Years
For the past 50 years, the Billings Home Builders Association has proudly partnered with School District 2 to build a home while building something even more important—opportunity.
This hands-on program gives students real-world experience in the construction trades, exposing them to career paths as framers, plumbers, electricians, HVAC technicians, and other skilled professions. It teaches responsibility, craftsmanship, teamwork, and problem-solving, while showing students that the trades are a viable and rewarding alternative to traditional college paths.

The impact of this program can be seen across our community. Generations of students have gone on to successful careers, helping meet the workforce needs of our region while supporting their families and strengthening the local economy.
Unfortunately, in recent years, continuin g this program has become increasingly difficult. Growing regulatory requirements and administrative red tape have forced us to make significant changes to how the project is managed. These changes, while necessary to remain compliant, have dramatically increased the cost of operating the program.
To keep this 50-year tradition alive, we have worked hard to reduce expenses wherever possible and to seek donations of materials, labor, and financial support. Despite these efforts, the rising costs threaten the future of the program.
That is why we are asking for your help.
Your support—whether through financial contributions, material donations, or professional services—directly impacts our ability to continue providing students with hands-on education and career pathways that benefit our entire community. This is an investment not only in students, but in the future workforce of Billings.
